Someplace in Europe

I've been working on this acrylic painting using a reference photo by Mr. Sandbanx from the Wet Canvas RIL.  It is painted for the year of painting (YOP) challenge at the Painting Friends forum.  I'm sure you can telll the painting is far from finished.

Looking good so far.

I just love streetscapes, especially the curvy ones like this one.

Hi Ann. I think you have captured some of the essence of a European town already. But, you must excuse me for mentioning there is something about the perspective of the building on the left, with the sign, that I find perplexing.

Like Vicki, I love cityscapes. THis is going to be so nice with the play of light and shadows.

I don't find it perplexing. Some depth shadowing is still in order, but this is in the works and I think it's working fine.

What a great composition! And you're at the best part right now, you get to fill in all the colorful little details! Have fun!
