Strawberries

Strawberries
Watercolor on Gessoed Paper
10" x 13 1/2"

I decided to just have fun this morning so gessoed over an old watercolor painting.  It was fun with the drips, splatters and using some thicker watercolor paint.  The berries are more of a truer red in the darker areas and may have to add some darks to separate the berries.

You really nailed the colors. Terrific painting--the drips and splatters add to it. They sure are juicy looking! Ooo. The old salivary just kicked in.

This is great! I think paintings that are partially abstract and partially realistic are so amazing. I've been trying to go that route myself. This is wonderful!

Hi you all! Thanks for the comments on this fun painting. Will be adding more darks to separate the berries then on to something new.
