The paintings of Oklahoma artist, Ann Buckner
Looks great. I woke up today also thinking practice water colors. We have something in common. I'm wondering why you chose that small size? I used a sheet torn to 11 x 14, maybe I should go smaller for practice works? Anyway, I think the landscape is lovely. You seem to have more control than I do.
SO fresh and appealing. LOVE this style! Loved Alaska, too. This is just beautiful.
This really caught my eye as I was going through my blogs.. it is elegant and beautiful.
This piece is so nice and loose. Just enough to describe the scene and I love the touches of white you left.
It cauaght my eye, too. Beautiful.
A beautiful loose landscape Ann!!!
Beautiful! I love the softness! Nice colors!Sheryl
L.W., thank you. When I just want to get the brushes wet and not really prepared for anything I usually grab a small piece of paper. Usually I like to paint the 1/4 sheet size like you do. Actually, I feel I have very little control when it comes wc. It is always a hit or miss with me. I'm learning though it is all in the paint to water ratio. Sandy, welcome home and hope you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for taking time to comment. Kathryn, thank you! I love your Carmella sketch.Lorraine, thanks for taking the time to comment. It means a lot.Hallie, glad the little landscape caught your attention. Thanks for visiting. Joanna, thank you so much. Good of you to comment.
Stunning. Very dream like and beautiful xx
Oh my gosh, this is beautiful!
Pat and Kimberly, thank you both so much for stopping by and your kind comments.
I think it's quite beautiful, Ann, and it doesn't seem to me that you need any practice!
This is lovely and loose..... Love your style Ann. Something I strive for everyday!
Hi Ann, this is beautiful! Very different from your usual style, which I love very much. Hope your allergies are settling down.
This has so much atmosphere Ann..Lovely looseness to it....Is there anything you can't paint, you are so talented....
Judy, Debbie, Deb and Stephie, you all are most generous, thank you.
Hi Ann! Thanks for visiting my blog :) I had to comment about how much I love seeing this "practice" piece - which is completely lovely to me! It's as if you painted it plein air!
Thank you Erika. :)
