Snow & Ice Photos

Our area was one of the fortunate ones as we didn't get much ice or snow.  The areas of central and western Oklahoma fared much, much worse as there are tens of thousands without power.  Crews from different states have come in to help our local crews.  I feel for them out in this cold, cold weather and for all those who are having a problem getting heat and/or food.  I haven't heard or seen a car on the highway this morning.  It is so quiet except for the tapping of the keyboard.

Brrrr...looks so cold and grey :( We were one of the lucky ones, too - not even flurries this far north in KY although just south of us got hit and farther south is really in a mess.

Happy to hear that most of it missed you Rhonda. I remember quite well what it was like last year when we were without power.

Pretty snow photos, Ann. Are you finding your winter is easier than last year's? You seem to lose power a lot there in Oklahoma. I feel for you! It seems to be here. We've just had the mildest January I can remember. We've had snow, though. Right now, we're in the middle of an Arctic cold front - not bad for the first time this January. lol.

Hi Deb, this year we had colder temps for longer periods. The weather always fluctuates here. At least we haven't had the amount of ice we had last year. Good to hear you have had a milder winter. I am so ready for Spring lol.
