Family Reunion, Watercolor

I had a chance today to paint this 5 1/2" x 10" watercolor from a photo I took at one of our family reunions. While I was painting this I was remembering the many gatherings that have taken place in this yard over the last 60 years.

I bet this painting brings back many wonderful memories. I think you should make copies for each brother and sister - and Mom, of course!

Very nice--I love the trees (remind me of Cezanne's watercolor trees, in fact) and the lovely way you handled the ground.

Ann: What a nice remembrance of times past! The sense of distance created by the fading trees in the background is very well done. I envy your control of watercolor.

Rhonda, it is always a blessing to look across the yard and feel the bond that keeps us close.

Liz, it was great when growing up to have a huge playground the size of the yard. :)

Laura, how kind of you. Thank you.

Thank you, Atul. So good of you to stop by. I was just thinking about you as I hadn't seen a recent post to your blog so was pleased to see a comment from you.

Fabio, thank you so much. :)
