Landscape, Oils Update

Memory Bank
11" x 14"
Oil on Gessoed Panel

After receiving comments and suggestions from a few members at Wet Canvas. I reworked the sky and some other areas, such as darkening the water near the river bank on the right. I have to be honest and say I miss the brilliance in the sky! I named this "Memory Bank" because it is from my imagination or elusive memories of places I've been.

HI Ann! Love the name! I do like the sky better with a bit more blue in it like this. But the other sky was awesome, too. I found the orange and yellow to be very dramatic, nicely so, but since I'm very partial to blue skies, I have to say I like the newer one a bit better. I also really like what you did to the trees. The only suggestion I'd have would be - since there's more blue in the sky now, maybe a bit reflected in the water? It's a beautiful painting!

That is a good suggestion about the water, Deb. I still have the painting sitting on my easel so may decide to do that.

Thanks for taking a peek and your comments. I always enjoy them! Hope you are painting too!
