Old High School WIP Kids Update

Today I started placing the kids on the porches and ground. The looks of the students will be more impressionistic rather than realistic. I used chalk initially to sketch them lightly on the canvas. Red and white are the school colors so that is why the figures in front are in those colors. I thought I would get the kids placed in then go back to work on other areas that need fine tuning, like some of those windows.

Ann, I love what you're doing to this! It's looking great. Love what you did to the front windows - especially how the one is open a bit. It looks so natural. The people are all looking good. Your brickwork looks great and those trees are beautiful. The only little nit I can see (and I really hate to say this because I'd hate it to be a major problem) is that window beside the door. It's a tiny bit wider at the bottom. But that's no big deal, right? I say this because I know how you want the critiques. lol. This is going to be a fantastic painting!

Hi Deb, thanks for using your eyes on this painting. I do appreciate it, you know. Yeah, that window isn't finished, nor is the door. I hope to paint more on this today. Stormy weather in OK last night but quiet right now. Some areas had 4" of rain on top of what we had the last couple of days.
