Oils
7" x 5"
Ampersand Gessobord

This was painted from a photo I took in 2006 of a place approximately 15 miles north of where I live. I painted this scene previously in watercolor. With oils, I am fascinated how a stroke can change a shape or color or easily make a mess.

Beautiful Ann! I love those brush strokes in the trees!!!!! You've caught the light in the leaves so well, too. Will you paint this in a large format?

I doubt I will paint this in a larger format Deb, but apprcciate your comments on this little painting. I do plan to paint it again but about the same size. It is good practice for me, trying to get the atmospheric beauty I saw the day I took the photo.

I like the light you have throughout the painting and the stormy sky, kind of like after a storm when the sun is showing in places. Very nice!
