Indian Sketch - Bell Pow Wow

Quick pencil/charcoal sketches of a Cherokee indian dancer, from a reference photo taken at the local Bell Pow Wow by my brother. I was only going to post one sketch then decided that even though they aren't great that each sketch has taught me something. The difficulty in drawing from this photo is that the eyes are indistinct but this is good practice even if at this moment the eyes look more like black currants. :)

You are so good at your quick studies! Those eyes definitely do NOT look like currants, either, Ann Buckner, you're too hard on yourself. :-) These are going to be awesome and I can't wait to see what you do with them. Your brother is such a sweetie to share his pics with you.

Thanks Deb. One of these days, with practice, I will get a truly reasonable likeness.
