Abstract Play Update

Thinking the painting was dry (which it wasn't), I managed to get a greenish cast white streak on the painting. I'm looking at it as a "happy accident." I took this photo outside today and wish you could see the textures in this painting. You can see a bit of it but in the dark areas there are nuances of color and textures that are delightful to see.

Ann, I love this! There is such an energy to it and the colors just sing against one another. Much better than any old rose painting! :)

Thanks for posting, Rhonda. It pleases me that you like it. This abstract is certainly different from the rose painting. It was totally fun (and messy). :)

I have started a 2nd rose painting and might even do a third if the one I'm working on doesn't look the way I want. If I could only capture that velvety feel of the petals in paint.

Ann, stop painting roses and do more of these - this is a prize-winner!!

Thanks for the encouragement with the abstracts! :) I think I have the rose finished. We post on the 20th.
